Relax & Rejoice

February 10, 2012

It’s 7:00pm, you’re finally home, and you just spent the last two hours sitting in traffic.

By this time of the day, most of us are finished, ready to crash, and don’t really want to think about anything else except sleep. But in today’s fast paced, coffee loving world, rarely does our day ever end after work.

Instead of kicking off your shoes, reading your bible and having dinner, you’re picking up your kids from soccer practice, studying for tomorrows exam, or even finishing work you didn’t complete at the office. Regardless of what you are doing, nine times out of ten, it’s not relaxing and rejoicing, but instead working and worrying.

Sometimes, the burdens of our day are heavy, harmful and even heart-breaking. But what sometimes looks impossible to accomplish, can be conquered by the simple remembrance of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice to the world.

Jesus took a cross upon His back in order to take the burdens off yours. No matter what you have been through, are going through, or will go through, there is Hope in Christ.

No burden is to heavy for Jesus. Lay it upon the cross.

Relax, and rejoice in the power and greatness of our Lord and Savior. For no burden can get in the way of God’s plan for your life.

Matthew 11:28Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Romans 8:39 - No power in the sky above or in the earth below–indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  1. I needed to hear this! thanks for posting Jarrid! I work a 21 hour work day, 6 days a week. Lately, I feel like I have too much of a work load that I can handle. I keep asking myself If I can push through this at least until summer.

  2. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
