Over the last few weeks I’ve begun studying a passage of scripture that has really transformed the way I live my life. I believe so much in the power of this text, that I wish to share it in hopes that it will help you in your walk with God.
Since I was little, I’ve always been told that quitting was for losers. Whether it be in elementary school, church, or even at home, I was always told that quitting was a “bad” thing, and that I should always try to stick things out until the end. While I understand where most of these individuals were coming from, I’ve come to realize through my own experiences in life that sometimes quitting can actually be the very thing needed to propel your purpose.
Being a legit Christian is all about owning up to the unique qualities in which Jesus reflected during his time on earth. And while we as humans will never be able to fully reflect the perfect image of Christ, I believe there are many attributes that will reflect one worthy of His name. All these attributes can be found in following Christ himself.
Social media is a beautiful thing. And while much of my life has been shaped around it’s use, I’ve noticed a few things that truly get on my nerves. I know I’ve been victim of a few of these myself. When it comes to criticism, there are a certain statements that feel like a knife to the heart. And while your zeal, passion, and motivation are constantly at war with the opinions of others, many of us will come to realize that God has called us to do the very thing we are being mocked for. The real question is, will you follow the calling God has given you, or will you give up because of the opinions that oppose you?
