1. Only view God as your ticket out of hell.
This one will hit home with a lot of people. And while this may come off extremely judgmental, my point is to help encourage you into a deeper relationship with your Creator. God is more than a “get out of hell free card,” and our relationship with him should reflect something much deeper than that. Heaven isn’t a place for people who fear hell, but instead a place for people who passionately love God. Don’t make your relationship with God transactional. He’s worth more than anything your mind can fathom. He’s not here just to be personal fire proof.

Today’s culture gives many opinions when it comes to the topic of being a “real man” in today’s world. Our society likes to tell men how “real men” are to dress, act, work, walk, talk, love, and present themselves to the public. As The Church, I believe it is our duty to teach the world what a “real man” is to look like, but I believe even The Church of today has found itself spewing out opinions instead of Biblical truth.

1. “Why are you still single?”
I’m positive this question gets dropped on the daily. And while many individuals might be just trying to start a conversation, the opposing party will usually use this as another opportunity to wallow in their singleness. Be careful when asking someone if they are still single. Although your intentions may be pure, the reminder of being single is not something someone likes to bask in. The word “still” gives off a harmful vibe to the conversation, as if the person is incapable of finding someone special.
