Just Because

April 2, 2012

You can be different than you were. You can break the mold of your families past. You can be different from what everyone else labels you as. You are made in God’s image, for His will. And no human opinion can get in the way of a God-given destination.

You are a mighty warrior of Christ.

It doesn’t matter how you grew up. It doesn’t matter what you did, or didn’t do. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been told, “you’re too young,” or “you’re just like your dad.” What matters to the world, doesn’t matter to God. And it’s time you connect this very truth into the fabric of your heart.

Stop listening to the foolish lies of this world, and start appreciating, and accepting the TRUTH of God’s word. He wrote it for a reason, not for foolish speculation.

I’m sure you’ve encountered flaws, failures and mistakes in your life. But that doesn’t mean you have stay that way. In fact, if you consider yourself a follower of Jesus Christ, you are called to overcome those very things. This does not mean you will find perfection, but you will undoubtedly find progression on the path of righteousness.

Just because it’s how you grew up, doesn’t mean it’s how you should stay. With Christ comes renewal and a new way of living.

Ezekiel 36:26And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.

  1. Hello, Jarrid. :) I would like to know whether you would be interested in writing a guest post at the site I operate in the future. I have looked for a contact page on your site at which to ask you but have not yet been successful in finding anything, thus my commenting here. ;)

Also, great post! I enjoy reading your blog.
