God Doesn’t Care About Your Past Mistakes

God Doesn’t Care About Your Past Mistakes

God Doesn’t Care About Your Past Mistakes

It’s time to forget about where you’ve been, what you’ve done, and who you used to be. God doesn’t care about your failures, mistakes, or even you mishaps. God is focused on where you’re going, what you’re going to do, and who you’re becoming through Him.

There are many things in life we can dwell on and stress over, but I recommend your past not one of them. Sometimes we forget that we are gifted with grace, granted a second chance, and swimming in a sea of forgiveness. It’s almost as if we ignore the gift that is being held out in front of us. Or, maybe we just aren’t educated enough.

Many scholars have said that one of the most important events in Judaic history apart from the life, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth is the conversion to Christianity of the Apostle Paul. Before becoming a follower of Christ, Paul himself was persecuting Christians before he was one. The grace and forgiveness of Christ was more than enough to cover his faults and vile actions. (Acts 9:1-19)

Take a deep breath and realize that your past has been forgiven, made clean, and paved with tons of grace. Nothing you have done, or will do can keep you from finding freedom in the arms of Jesus.

Don’t let what’s behind you keep you from reaching the destiny set before you. Through our failures and mistakes we will gain wisdom and understanding. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. God cares about you, but he could care less about your past mistakes.

“You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” -Jeremiah 29:13

I think when we have a hardship it is Gods way of changing us and putting us in a new direction in our life’s we would have otherwise never taken..it can bring new meaning and clarity to life also..

I really love this “God is focused on where you’re going, what you’re going to do, and who you’re becoming through Him.”
yes Jarrid God is not counting our sins against us any no longer because of Christ ans just as the prodigal son he is willing to receive us back

    I love this post.

I love the encouragement; however, I am unsure if the title fits the post, or is completely true. My Bible tells me that God cares deeply about every bit of us…he loves us regardless of whatever success or mistakes we experience in our short spans of life. It also says that there is no good in us, but Jesus himself. I’m not here to be critical of you or this post, but rather to reaffirm that God (being the holy, righteous Judge over everything) DOES care about your mistakes, but his love goes deeper and runs stronger than our imagination, leaving our mistakes only to be forgiven when we turn and repent to him. Our freedom does not exist in God’s neglect for our mistakes, but his lavishing love that carries us beyond them.

    Otherwise, great word. Blessings!

This is a great post. So spot on. I need that reminder. Often I get caught up in my past mishaps that I fail to see the bigger picture right before me.

A great reminder. I know I focused on my past for such a long time until God helped me realize that I was missing out on all of the beautiful blessings & opportunities right in front of me.

I am curious what you mean here, “Or, maybe we just aren’t educated enough.”
