5 Lies We Continue To Tell Ourselves

All throughout our lives, we seem to be great at giving ourselves reasons as to why we can’t accomplish certain things. If we get really honest with ourselves, I’d bet most of our reasons are fueled by insecurities and fear.

Have you ever told yourself one of the following?

1) “I’m not strong enough”

2) “I’m not talented enough”

3) “I’m not pretty enough”

4) “I’m not good enough”

5) “I’m not holy enough.”

Enough is enough.

Although some of these points are things that may seem to be true, God has given us the power to overcome all these obstacles in order to accomplish His will for our lives. Don’t let insecurities and fear trick you into believing something about yourself contrary to what God has already deemed you. You are strong, wise, and wonderfully made in His image. Nothing can get in the way of God’s calling for your life.

Keep fighting the good fight, and don’t allow Satan to distract you from the passions Jesus has imprinted on your heart.

“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” –2 Peter 1:3

God will open up every opportunity for you to flourish in what He has called you to accomplish. Don’t let anyone tell you that you aren’t good enough. With Him, you are MORE than enough.

  1. I do feel that i’m worthless a lot. I don’t know how to feel like I am worth something. I try HARD to fit in and be liked/loved by everyone because I always feel rejected which is hard constantlyfeeling as a young woman. It’s just like I feel defeated constantly :(

  2. True. But still working on these. With The Lord in me,on me and all around me I have come a long way.Glory to God.

  3. I’ve believed all of the above (insecurities) at one time or another during my years. Yet another lie we tell ourselves–especially women is–I’m not smart enough. Yet with ALOT of love and support from parents, family and friends emotional boundaries, if you will, can be obliterated… Yet the love of Jesus can do ANYTHING– Devils and demons flee and fly at this all powerful name! You just gotta believe that anything is possible when you have a relationship with him. [And] those insecurities will become a thing of the past♥
