5 Books In 7 Days. My Reading Challenge.

I’ve always heard the phrase “Leaders are readers,” so this week I will be challenging myself to read 5 books in 7 days. Why you ask? Because I never want to stop learning. And the moment I stop learning is the moment I should probably stop leading.

I have chosen 5 books that I have never read before. My hope in this challenge is to learn more about life, business, leadership and ministry. The books I have chosen are:

1. Tribes by Seth Godin

2. Multiply by Francis Chan

3. Mans Search For Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl

4. All of Grace by Charles Spurgeon

5. The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership by John Maxwell

Interested in joining me? There are so many incredible books out there to choose from. Just pick some up and start reading.

  1. First time I hear the saying “Leaders are readers” and you know what? I agree! You’ve picked five great authors (is that how you went about selecting the books?) and I’m sure you will gain wisdom from each. So today is day #3 since you posted this challenge. How is it going and how far are you? Are you reading it in the order you posted them? Also, are you using audiobooks? That’s the only way I see it possible, for me, unless I truly abandon lots of other things in order to reach this lofty goal.

  2. I’d love to try that but alas, the cruel and unfaithful God has left me with such slow reading ability it takes me almost one month to read one book. >< Five books in seven days? Impossible. *sigh*

  3. Amazing Grace by Eric Metaxas
Jesus > Religion by Jefferson Bethke
Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris
Does God Desire All To Be Saved by John Piper
Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers

These books inspired me, taught me, and grew my faith and thus changed my life for the better. I’d reccomend them to anyone! Never stop learning! :)
