1. Admit that you have it.

- If you can’t admit it how can you fight it? The first step in conquering anything, is admitting that it’s standing right in front of you. Don’t expect to fight something you don’t believe exists. You gotta drop your pride in order to confront your pride. Ironic, right?

Proverbs 11:2 – When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.

2. Admit that it’s sinful. 

- If you can’t admit your pride is sinful, you’ll never discover a reason to conquer it. Sometimes, our biggest struggles are hidden behind our biggest justifications. Make room for God, and demolish prides sanctuary. Stop justifying your sin, and start magnifying Him.

Psalm 10:4 – In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. 

3. Admit you need help. 

- Don’t expect to help yourself when yourself is the one who needs help in the first place. Throw away those self-help books, and pick up a copy of God’s Word (The bible). God didn’t intend you to do life alone. In fact, even Jesus himself had 12 disciples. Like any struggle, pride is something you might always battle against. But with God, you can maintain and  dormant the infection of pride in your life.

Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Pride is something we all deal with, but I hope this post helps you in a way that is vibrant and constructive. We all have struggles, but with God all things are possible.
